The appliances listed here have been tested for compliance to the requirements of the joint Australia/New Zealand Standards:
AS/NZS 4013:1999 for flue gas emissions and;
AS/NZS 4012:1999 for power output and efficiency.
This list includes models that comply with the requirements of the National Environmental Standards (NES). The list is updated periodically, but is not necessarily an exclusive list of all current compliant models at any given time.
It should be noted that the NZ Home Heating Association is unable to warrant that any particular wood burner listed meets the standards. It should also be noted that not all appliances were included in the review carried out by the Ministry for the Environment for their Authorised List of wood burners. All appliances listed have been tested by an authorised testing laboratory and the published results are taken directly from the test reports.
The NZ Home Heating Association does not accept any liability arising from the list and will not pay compensation to anyone relying on this list in the event a wood burner is found to be non-complying and has to be removed. The Association encourages retailers to make purchasers aware of these caveats.
